After school Study

After school Study in Summerhill:

After School Study has been part of the Summerhill landscape for the past fifteen years and has made an ongoing contribution of our excellent academic results. Study takes place in the Bishop Christopher Jones Learning Centre from 4:15pm to 7:15pm for Monday to Thursday and from 1:45pm to 4:45pm on Friday. Students can stay for as long they wish but must arrive promptly at 4:15pm (Mon-Thurs) and 1:45pm (Fri).

At the end of each hour, students are given a break of 5-10 minutes. Attendance is taken each day, the time that the student arrives and leaves is noted and their journal is stamped to confirm attendance. This allows parents/guardians to check their attendance at study.

The cost of study is as follows:
One hour = €2
Up to two hours €3
Three hours €4

Five days can be paid in advance at discounted price of €15.

Where students may be unable to attend study for financial reasons, every effort is made to reach an arrangement that will allow that student to attend. It is very important that students participating in the programme respect the right of others to study in an environment of quiet and calm.
Any student who does not cooperate with the instructions of the supervisor, or who repeatedly disrupts study, will be asked to leave permanently.

Any further enquiries can be made to Mr. Leo Hegarty, Mr. Damian Keenan or Mr. Declan Brennan through the front office 071 9160311 or info@summerhillcollege.ie
